LAPU-LAPU'S INTERNATIONAL COASTAL ECOLOGY WEEK: THE INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEAN-UP DAY

The International Coastal Clean-up Day closed Lapu-Lapu's First International Coastal Ecology Week with a big SPLASH.

With the equally huge event of shoreline clean-up was the underwater clean-up organized by the City of Lapu-Lapu and spearheaded by OceanCare Advocates, Inc and the LLC Divers.

At any one given moment of the underwater clean-up there were more than 130 divers - a grand site of those many divers, each one carrying a garbage sack.

Before the start of the activity, Mr. Dewey Monsanto said the morning prayers. As always, whenever Dewey prays, it works - 130 divers down (twice) and not a single untoward incident. The organizers say: "Praise the Lord!"
